Signs have holes so they can be hung using Standoff sign mounts.
The rust coating takes some time to fully form and seal when exposed to the elements outside. When corten is regularly exposed to moisture and then given time to dry, it weathers and seals most effectively. During this time, your sign can bleed and have a minor rust outflow depending on the climate and where it is put. Typically, this occurs if the sign is in contact with a surface.
All of our powder coated pieces are zinc primed to give an extra layer of protection outdoors.
